As I become a Jewish woman, honoring the generations that have come before me, I find it crucial to value the importance of tzedakah, the action of helping others that are less fortunate than myself. While conducting my research to find the Mitzvah project I resonate most closely with, the breathtaking impacts of the organization Lev LaLev, an orphanage in Israel empowering young girls with lack of parental presence, struck me because of the light it shines into a world of darkness.
I am tremendously passionate about exercising because it provides a place to escape and do something I enjoy even in troubling times. This led me to feel earnest to sponsor a pilates class, along with the support of my family, at Lev Lalev to share my beloved affection for athletics, hoping to uplift others even during a period of adversity.
Any donation would leave an everlasting impact on these Jewish girls, and more importantly: the future of Israel.
