Ramsey Ridloff’s Bat Mitzvah

Ramsey Ridloff’s Bat Mitzvah

Hi! My name is Ramsey Ridloff.

I’m excited to become a Bat Mitzvah and enter the long chain of strong Jewish women. My Torah portion, Chaye Sarah, honors the life of Sarah, our first matriarch and introduces us to Rivka, our second matriarch. In addition to being strong, proud Jewish influencers in their time, they also showed great kindness – a value that resonates strongly with me.

When I first learned about Lev LaLev it immediately clicked with me that it was an organization I wanted to help. Lev LaLev (which means heart to heart) is an orphanage for Jewish girls in Israel.

I came to love Israel during our family trip there and the idea of helping girls in Israel, particularly now, with the war raging is very important to me.Lev LaLev provides housing, clothing, education, therapy, and, most importantly, the gifts of love and a brighter future. To help with this mission, I wanted to share my love of dance with girls of bat mitzvah age, so my family and I are sponsoring dance lessons for girls at Lev LaLev.

Dancing is of course one of my passions, but as I reflect on the recent anniversary of October 7th, I think about those dancing at the Nova festival and those dancing at Simchat Torah celebrations.

We will dance again!
Am Yisrael Chai!
