As I become bat mitzvah, I believe it is important to think beyond myself and help others who are less fortunate than I am. Lev LaLev supports girls — some of whom are my same age or younger — whose parents have passed away or can’t take care of them properly.Lev LaLev provides these girls with housing, clothing, education, therapy, and, most importantly, the gifts of love and a brighter future. The girls residing at Lev laLev are like me in many ways. Yet while they have had so many struggles, I have gotten to grow up with so many privileges. With the war in Israel, I especially want to do something for these girls. The war has undoubtedly affected them and they deserve some additional joy.For my mitzvah project, I am raising money for swimming lessons for the girls residing at Lev laLev. I love to swim. When I swim, I feel free. l want these girls to learn how to swim so that they can feel that same freedom. Please join me in giving these girls that opportunity.
