Emunah Greenspan’s Bat Mitzvah Project

Hi! My name is Emunah Greenspan.

I’m really excited to become a Bat Mitzvah and enter the long chain of strong Jewish women. Our matriarchs and other role models in my family have shown me what it means to show kindness for others –this is a value that resonates strongly with me.

When I first learned about Lev LaLev it really impressed me as an organization that I want to help. Lev LaLev (which means heart to heart) is an orphanage for Jewish girls in Israel.

The girls at Lev Lalev might be orphans or for some reason they can’t live in their parents’ homes. The idea of helping girls my age, in Israel, who don’t have the resources they need, is very important to me.

Lev LaLev provides housing, clothing, education, therapy, extra curricular activities, and hope for a better future for these girls. I love Israel and I love to dance!I learned that by raising money to sponsor dance lessons for girls at Lev LaLev, I will be able to help them also have this awesome activity
